Christopher Lazarte, CPA, CA founded ValuaCPA to give growing companies senior finance leadership with AI built into the work itself.
Chris was Controller and Head of Finance at Neuralink for five years. As the first finance hire he built a team of 11 and oversaw FP&A, accounting, procurement, tax, equity administration and investor relations, keeping the company under budget four years running. Before that he was CFO of DataFox through its acquisition by Oracle, interim CFO and Controller at sticky.io, FP&A Manager at Zuora, and an audit manager at KPMG.
Today he serves as a fractional CFO and Controller to software, hardware and services companies, and builds the AI finance applications in our suite. He has been part of 10+ financing rounds from seed stage to Series E and multiple exits, including the sales of DataFox to Oracle and Sandymount Technologies to Alfa Laval, and teaches financial modeling to more than 60,000 students on Udemy.
